My TSH is at 1.65. I have been feeling tired and I've put on 7 to 10 pounds. My free T4 was at 1.06, and my free T3 dropped down to 2.71. Should I consider a small dose of thyroid medication?
-
My TSH is 1.99 and then my T4 is 7.9 and my reverse T3 is 15.6. With those numbers do you think I'm still at bay or should I get on medication?
-
What can be done to optimize the conversion of T4 to T3?
-
I'm looking for a good medication. I tried T3, then T4, then Nature-Throid; now I’m on one grain. I’m concerned that I’m reacting to the TPO and TG in Nature-Throid.
-
Can you take apple cider vinegar with water to help absorption with NDT?
-
On the thyroid gradient chart, my free T4 is a bit higher than free T3; does that mean I’m not converting well? Also, my TSH is under .05.
-
Alan Christianson said you only have to take natural desiccated thyroid once a day, and you shouldn’t give cortisol to people with low cortisol, do you agree?
-
I'm in Stage 2 adrenal fatigue. I had a family emotional crisis and since then, my thyroid hasn’t been the same. I was on ¼ grain T4, but went off to try and let reverse T3 levels fall. My temperature is as low as it has ever been. What should I do?
-
I have a low TSH, but the other numbers are okay. What are your thoughts on that?
-
My TSH ranges from 1-1.99; T4 was 7.9; T3 was 36; TPO was 30, and my TG was less than 20. I don’t sleep much and I’m really trying to work on making my body sleep more. Would thyroid meds be good for me?
-
I'm not on thyroid meds and prefer not to be. April tests were - TSH 4.5, thyroid antibody TPO were in the normal range; TG 203.9; T4 1.33; Free T3 2.7. I don't feel awful since I changed my diet. Is it ok not to be on thyroid meds?
-
I'm on natural desiccated thyroid. Should I be aiming for my Free T4 to be 1.4-1.8 and also be aiming for my Free T3 to be 300-450? Do both FT4 and FT3 need to be within the functional ranges to be well?
-
When do you stop thyroid medication before a thyroid blood test?
-
I switched from Synthroid to NDT. I upped the dose over time and switched to NP Thyroid. I’m currently at 180mg a day. My Free T3 is elevated; TSH 0.01. Why do I still have fatigue and pressure headaches while on Autoimmune Paleo diet?
-
I switched to natural desiccated thyroid medication 10 months ago, and started adjusting my diet. While on NDT my antibodies did not decrease despite improvement in my diet. I think I should go back to T4 only synthetic meds. What would you advise?
-
Do thyroid hormones need to be taken with plain water? Is lemon water okay? What about herbal tea?
-
International Pharmaceutical Services is listed on the website of the WP Thyroid manufacturer RLC Labs for distributing WP Thyroid to international customers. Would this be a good option, as I live in Germany and only have access to levothyroxine?
-
My endocrinologist took me off of WP Thyroid and put me on Tirosint. Her reasoning was that T3 is not safe for pregnancy. I’m not pregnant now but I’m trying to work towards that. Do you agree with her?
-
Is it true that with Armour, the hormone levels are not consistent?
-
When I try to increase my desiccated thyroid dose, I get fast heartbeats. Could it be low cortisol causing me problems, or is it too much desiccated thyroid? I still have hypo symptoms (cold feet, hair loss etc.).
-
I am on a compounded formula of levothyroxine and I react quite severely to magnesium stearate, Loroxal, and cellulose. Do you have any recommendations for excipients/fillers that can be used?
-
My Doctor increased my dosage and my TSH went to 0.5 (Free T4 and Free T3 in the lower fourth of the range). Just as my symptoms started to get better, my TSH rose, and the other values fell. Is it safe to increase dosage or add T3?
-
My TSH is low, but my T4 and T3 are low as well. My doctor wants to raise my medication dose, but I've heard it's not good to suppress your TSH too much. Should I be concerned?
-
For the NDT strategy of increasing the dose to see if problems decrease, does that mean to go up until the person "feels better" and/or the TPO decreases? Would you only do this for a short period before going to another medication?
-
My doctor’s plan is to increase my Nature-Throid 1/4 grain every 4-6 weeks until my TSH goes down to around 1.0. Do you think this is a reasonable way to increase dosage?
-
I have been off thyroid medicines for over two years under direction of doctor. My thyroid levels are normal, but my antibody levels are over 3,000. My doctor said I just have to wait until my thyroid burns out. Is there anything else I can do?
-
Will my antibodies still go down if I am on generic Armour?
-
I feel a little wired after switching to Cytomel. Could the compounded T3 sustained release be better for my adrenals?
-
For those of us who take a split T3 thyroid dose in the afternoon, how do you suggest ensuring it is on an empty stomach and away from all other supplements that affect absorption?
-
I am having worsened blood sugar fluctuations after changing my dose of thyroid medication. Does it just take time to adjust to a higher dose of T3, or is this a sign that it's simply too much. What do you suggest?
